Backyard project

Well, Kyle and I decided to fix our tree problem in the backyard last Sunday. During the December storm, we had a tree fall onto two other trees. Kyle cut that tree down, but then we noticed that the other two trees now lean. We decided we were going to try to stake them up, since we didn’t want to cut them down. This didn’t work as planned, so we got the cutters out and started trying to trim it, without cutting it down. It looks so much better now! I am so happy. For those that don’t know, most people enter our house through the back door, therefore meaning that the trees were effecting the walkway that mostly everyone uses. Since Baby will be here very soon, I wanted it to be cleared so we didn’t have to duck to get through the walkway. Plus, I am sure we will have guests that want to come by too, and I didn’t want them to get their eyes poked and hair pulled by our trees.  

Here are some pics, although my before pics don’t show the mess as much as I thought they did, but oh well, I know the difference it made! And people have commented on how much better it is, so that means it helped!

When I look at the pics, I see how much needs to be done still, but this is a good start… and I can’t really get much of my plans accomplished with my baby bump in the way!
